Brent Holland was a Paramedic/Firefighter for the Anderson Fire Department and a County Councilman for Madison County. Brent was passionate about the fire department and he was passionate about local government. Brent loved serving the public. He never missed a county council meeting, even after he was diagnosed with brain cancer, and he was a strong advocate of continued training within the fire department. Brent passed away from brain cancer on February 3, 2020. To honor Brent, this scholarship has been set up to assist those students graduating from a Madison County school with their post high school endeavors, and are seeking degrees in the field of Paramedic Science, Fire Science or Public Administration.
