Habitat for Humanity of Madison County

$1,963

We will be moving our ReSale Store operation from its present location at 800 E. 19th Street to a former hardware store in Chesterfield. We have outgrown our present facility of approximately 5,000 square feet and move to a facility of approximately 14,000 square feet. Such a move will allow store sales to increase, and thus add funds to Habitat's chief mission of building basic, affordable houses for those who do not qualify for regular mortgages.

Helping Hands Food Pantry, Ltd.

$3,000

Helping Hands Food Pantry, LTD distributes food to the "Food Insecure" of Madison County. We have been in operation for 12 years. The pantry is open twice a month, during which time we distribute 12-16 healthy food items, including produce and meat to about 250 families per pantry.

Hopewell Center

Intersect, Inc.

$4,500

Madison County ranks #4 in Indiana for drug problems. Leadership Academy of Madison County

$7,500

Madison County is poised for tremendous growth in the next decade. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, the LAMC is proposing to expand its Youth Leadership Academy programming to ensure that Madison County’s next generation is equipped with the skills and service focused mindset necessary to be successful leaders for our community.

Madison County Sheriff's Chaplaincy Program

$7,400

Coordinated by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department Chaplaincy Program, Project H.O.P.E. is centered on the idea of bringing Help, Opportunity, Preparation and Empowerment to our community’s emerging young adults. Through a cooperative partnership of civic organizations, faith communities, business leaders and local government officials, Project HOPE raises the civic standard of a generation to come by providing mentoring for at risk youth.

Mentoring Warriors, Inc.

$1,200

Mentoring Warriors offers health and wellness programs as well as self-defense programs for children, teens and adults in Madison County. To protect our clientele, we need to have two safety measures added to our agency. First, we need an AED installed and we need staff trained in CPR, First Aid and in the use of the AED. This way, if any of our customers are in cardiac arrest while at our facility, we will have staff and materials there to assist that individual until EMTs can arrive. Another piece of keeping our staff and students safe is video monitoring. Mentoring Warriors has put policies into place about staff to student ratios, but an added security feature for everyone would be to have video supervision as well so that everyone – parents, students, and staff – can feel secure while on site.

Operation Love Ministries, Inc.

$3,000

Operation Love Ministries requests support for several essential program and building needs to continue serving thousands of individuals each month. The purchase of an additional freezer for the food pantry will increase efficiency and extend the ability of the pantry to meet essential food needs in our community. Further, several repairs including necessary roof sealant, window repairs and metal security mesh, and floor refinishing will ultimately reduce future expenses by extending the life of these items rather than simply replacing them.

Paramount Heritage Foundation, Inc. d/b/a Paramount Theatre Centre & Ballroom

$8,000

Funds will be used to replace one irreparable 3-3.5 Ton HVAC unit serving several ground floor office areas - specifically from the southwest corner office to the accounting office on 12th Street; a defective HVAC motor servicing the Ballroom Lobby area; and two Wireless Hand-Held/Headset Microphone systems.

Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana

$5,000

Through the School Pantry Program, children and families build positive relationships with the child’s school, which contributes to that child’s overall education and development. This is accomplished through the provision of food at school during monthly distributions, which meets an immediate need for food while increasing parental engagement at school.

Due to the sensitive nature and high confidentiality of our work, we cannot outsource copying of any case materials. We also do not allow our volunteers to pay for copies at businesses for their cases due to confidentiality and high sensitivity of our documents.

Paramount Heritage Foundation

$10,000

Funding is for one critical project: To install a new 95% efficient HVAC split system for the main office area. This upgrade will replace a non-working and obsolete system, one wall-mounted air conditioner, multiple fans (summer), and multiple space heaters (winter), lowering the cost of both gas and electric usage.

Regulators 4-H Club

$5,000

We are seeking funding to update and add horse stalls to the Madison County 4-H Fair. The stalls are not very safe, and we do not have enough to house all the horses at the fair.

The Christian Center, Inc.

$3,000

This funding will replace an oven in the Christian Center Kitchen. We are seeing historically high numbers of meals served. We have been able to repair two of the three ovens but the third is un-repairable. In the summer we can get by with two but in the fall and winter we need all three operational. This oven is critical to support the feeding of hundreds of low income and marginalized friends and neighbors here in Madison County. Thank you for your consideration.

YMCA of Madison County

$5,000

At the Anderson YMCA location, one boiler operates the men's' and women's' steam room. Over the past 6 months, there have been significant issues with keeping the boiler operating due to lines from the boiler building with calcium deposits. Correct steam flow cannot be kept and has caused the thermostat unit to burnout. A boiler specialist that the YMCA has been using for repairs has expressed the need for an individual water softener unit for this boiler to avoid future issues.
