FLOOD AID FOR ANDERSON

Direct assistance for Anderson residents impacted by the August 2026 flooding.

About Flood Aid for Anderson

Flood Aid for Anderson is a community-wide fundraising initiative created to provide direct financial assistance to Anderson residents and businesses impacted by the historic August 2026 flooding.

Led by Gary and Darla Sallee in partnership with Anderson Indiana Main Street and the Anderson Gaslight Festival, the effort brought together community organizations, businesses, performers, volunteers and donors through a weeklong fundraising campaign and August 23 benefit event.

The fund remains open for donations, and continued contributions will help expand the assistance available to flood-impacted residents and, as funding allows, businesses.

Madison County Community Foundation serves as the charitable steward of the fund, receiving and managing contributions and facilitating the distribution through Anderson Indiana Main Street.

Phase Two: If funds remain available, a second phase is expected to begin around September 14 for additional flood-impacted households, including those outside the initial documented area.
