Spring Foundation Grant Awardees Announced
The Madison County Community Foundation Board of Directors approved just over $81,000.00 in funding for thirteen non-profit agencies serving Madison County.
Affinity Groups
As stewards of our community the Foundation strives to bring as many resources to you as we can. Although we cannot fund every grant request we do try to provide leads, support and feedback that will help you identify other resources. We know that projects that have collaborating partners tend to be more successful and are often funded before stand-alone requests. We encourage these collaborations through affinity group meetings in which we invite several agencies who share goals to come together at the Foundation to discuss current funding opportunities, potential group resources and ways to enrich each collaborating agency's mission without duplicating services. If you would like to participate in a grant affinity group, please call Holly Chaille at 644-0002.
Research
The Foundation has access to a variety of grants databases and resource materials which we are happy to share with area non-profit agencies. If you need help locating grant opportunities you may send an email with your needs to Holly Chaille, Development Director.
The Indiana Grantmakers Alliance offers tools and resources to help you find funding.
External Grants
The following foundations support initiatives similar to MCCF's, and offer grants on a rolling basis:
Charles Stewart Mott Foundation (www.mott.org)
Kresge Foundation (www.kresge.org)
Comcast Foundation (www.comcast.com)
Anderson Public Library offers free use of the Foundation Center grants database, and eCivis users can find many more available grants online.
In 1998, Madison County natives Harold J. and Hilda L. Anderson donated $1 million to the Foundation’s unrestricted fund. Although this remains the largest single gift in the history of our organization, the generous amount is only part of the story.
