The face of local Philanthropy is exemplified by visionary citizens who look to the future and plan. The gifts of donors such as Charles & Hazel Dickmann are providing support to vital community groups, now and into the future, as well as recognizing and encouraging the philanthropic spirit here at home.
The Dickmann’s are shown here with the 2002 Dickmann Youth Community Service Awardees (left) Jennifer Pasko from Pendleton Heights High School, and (far right) Yidi Goe from Alexandria-Monroe High School. Not only did each honoree receive a monetary award to be used for her education, but also gifts in their names were made to the designated charity of their choice.
The award, created with a $100,000 endowment by the Dickmann’s in 1998, honors and encourages the volunteer efforts of Madison County high school students. The Dickmann’s truly Share The Gift.
